Subject: Touch Plate K2cnc
Hello,

I was wondering if someone knows about the k2cnc z touch plate? I would like to set mine up and as you know K2cnc is no longer.

I found a KMotion program "K2_TouchZero"  I'm using KMotionCNC and I set up a user button in the "tool set up"  and guessed at what thread/var number to use.

It works but the screen then freezes. What I mean by works is the z axis slowly travels down, it touches off, retracts a hair and then waits for the next command from the KMotionCNC user face. When I move the mouse to check the new settings or try to run the g-code, the screen grays out and "busy cursor" spins. The only way to stop it is to close out the KMotion interface.

I will attache some screen shots.

One more thing, I new to all of this and finding my way.

Robert

Robert,

try setting the User Button to just Exec.
Without seeing the touch file, I'm guessing it is waiting for some form of dialogue, which will cause KMotionCNC to freeze if the wait option has been selected.

If you were to open KMotion and the C Program screen, you'll probably find the button for thread 2 is green. Selecting that button then clicking halt will cause KMotionCNC to un-lock.
